Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Provide mechanical engineering expertise through design improvement activities to address problems reported by external and internal customers on existing product lines. Also, qualify replacements for production components reaching end-of-life to ensure continued production.
  • Develop prototypes, engage with suppliers, and design test fixtures.
  • Lead risk management activities such as dFMEAs, uFMEAs, pFMEAs, Hazard Analysis, and Top-Down Analysis throughout the project life cycle.
  • Plan, execute, and record Verification and Validation activities for projects whether it is an existing product or new product.
  • Prepare DHF project folder in alignment with Design Controls for medical devices.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of eight (8) years related experience.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks: Individual CAD models, large assemblies, and drawings.
  • Expertise with verification and validation testing and documentation. Knowledge of statistical sampling and analysis is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Design Controls, risk management, usability engineering, and safety testing within medical device industry or other regulated industries.
  • Experience working with products requiring plastics, injection molding, and fluidics.
