HydraFacial is hiring a Data Governance Manager who will simplify and automate information delivery, providing sophisticated insights and analysis to support decision making. This role will also focus on high-impact, high-visibility projects that contribute to improving the analytics strategy.


Data Load and Transfer between Source and Warehouse

  • Serve as a liaison between the business and IT to ensure that data related business requirements for governing critical data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood
  • Enforce data quality metrics across organization and technologies
  • Develop control structures within a simple environment to ensure the accuracy and data quality through all upstream and downstream data channels and projects
  • Understand the management of Enterprise Information Models (EIM) – Role Security

Data Integrity and Validation

  • Create new and enhance existing policies, glossaries, and procedures
  • Provide technical assurance for the on-going implementation of the data governance policy within the business
  • Work with the business to gather and understand functional requirements, develop SQL queries, and provide results
  • Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business and IT to ensure alignment between the company’s financials and the data warehouse
  • Use specialized knowledge and expertise to identify improvements through reducing data redundancy and appropriate data reuse
  • Ensure controls are in place over applications (e.g., Netsuite), while assuring data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis
  • Maintain memorialized data, data mapping models and their definitions
  • Provide reports that detail/track progress on data accuracy and improvement initiatives
  • Execute daily audits ensuring results match the expected outcomes
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis, create preventative actions to identify and correct discrepancies at the source

Report Data Standardization

  • Support project planning and management to ensure best practice and legal frameworks are followed with regards to data governance
  • Ensure global standardization and consistency of data inputs/attributes into the data warehouse (e.g., Channels, Region, Product hierarchies, Trade-Ups/gross units) from all data sources
  • Ensure data warehouse is a platform that can be used for metrics for external reporting
  • Manage integration of international subsidiaries into the data warehouse

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of experience working in Data Governance or Data Security and Compliance within a global organization
  • 5+ years of experience working with data, data maintenance, associated elements/processes, involved systems and interdependent data
  • Experience and knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures within a Public Company
  • Strong data management background who understands data collection, storage, usage, how to create policies and use technology to automate compliance risks
  • SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance experience
  • Basic SQL Skills and Data Organization/Models
  • ETL (Extract, Transform Load) tools knowledge preferred
  • Sales Force and Netsuite knowledge (is a plus)
  • Proven track record of managing projects and establishing best practices
  • Strong organizational skills, ability work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across a complex matrix organization and establish strong working relationships with business and IT leadership
  • Experienced in leading change and demonstrated ability to accomplish results and meet deadlines and commitments
  • Ability to partner with the legal, business, and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables
  • Ability to Travel (typically < 20%)

(Base Salary Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000)

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of BeautyHealth’s total rewards package for our employees.
