Position at The HydraFacial Company

HydraFacial continues to expand globally, and we need a Human Resources Director join our International team! The position will be based out of Shanghai, and the individual must be willing and able to travel throughout Asia, Australia and to the United States (when permitted of course!).

The ideal candidate is an HR professional with 6-8 years of HR business partner and generalist experience across two or more countries.   We do HR a bit differently here, by asking “What is the right thing to do?” instead of “What does the law say we can do?” If you are looking to join a progressive HR team inside of a fast-growing company, then keep reading! In this role, you will be the sole HR partner for our China teams, working closely with our regional Senior Leaders across China. You’ll have the opportunity to bring (and implement) fresh ideas that enhance the employee experience, attract top candidates, and help the business grow rapidly!

In the Human Resources role, you will be responsible for: 

  • Act as a strategic HR advisor to management team members to create positive and effective working relationships, build employee engagement, manage performance and attract, retain and develop talent in a collaborative environment
  • Develop, facilitate and execute change management and organizational development initiatives
  • Proactively engage with business leaders on people strategy and effectively delivering strategy through workforce planning and organization design and structure.
  • Provide talent and performance management guidance such as coaching, career development, training, and succession planning
  • Exercise your analytical muscles and develop a robust talent dashboard to tell the story behind our data
  • Conduct compensation analyses of all positions which include conducting periodic competitive market pricing for positions

We are a lean team and move at lightning speed, so we need someone who can match our pace and bring the following experience:

  • 5-7 years of HR Management experience working in 2 or more countries in Asia. China required
  • Experience working with PEO and other payroll providers
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese required
  • HRBP that is actively engaged in the business that understands what levers to pull to get achieve results and build strong, productive relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems on your own and help others do the same
  • Aptitude for analyzing data and finding the story behind the numbers and facts
