Public Health Policy Analyst (Contingent)

HWC is looking for a policy/economics consultant with experience working in a fast-paced public health or medical response environment. Successful applicants bring with them a full set of policy analysis skills, are intellectually curious, self-starters, and excel in ambiguous and changing environments.

This position is on-site in Washington DC. 

What You Will be Doing:

  • Supporting engagement on economics and policy matters with federal public health and emergency response agencies
  • Developing policy and options papers related to health economics, preparedness, and public health preparedness
  • Developing frameworks for decision analysis and assisting with the implementation of decision analysis tools
  • Supporting projects or tasks using project management methods
  • Quickly building and maintaining effective working relationships with government points of contact and other HWC teammates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience with public health policy and economic theory
  • Experience with Cost-Benefit Analysis
  • US Citizenship
  • “Clean” criminal and financial/credit record enabling a successful U.S. government “Public Trust” background investigation
  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 Vaccination by the date of hire to be considered.  Proof of vaccination is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Direct knowledge of, or experience with, medical countermeasures (MCM) issues
  • Task or project management experience
  • Experience working in a federal government office.
