In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and grow a small team of consultants;
  • Demonstrate and continually expand your subject matter expertise in project management, business process improvement and cyber / critical infrastructure security and resilience to address emerging and evolving challenges;
  • Lead company portfolio management efforts through identifying and capturing new work in a dynamic field;
  • Provide consulting support across all phases of project lifecycle for your team, from elicitation and design through solutions management and close-out;
  • Provide daily engagement with clients and teammates to develop and deepen long-lasting client relationships.

This position is located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and requires intermittent customer-site presence, with the option for routine remote work.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen;
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field;
  • Ability to successfully pass a Federal government “public trust” background investigation and eventually obtain a Top Secret security clearance;
  • 8-10 years relevant experience in project/program/portfolio management and team leadership;
  • Experience with all phases of project management lifecycle;
  • Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity and/or critical infrastructure analysis and solutioning, including policy support, training, or governance management;
  • Exceptionally strong communication and customer relationship management skills;
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

 Preferred qualifications include:

  • Advanced degree or certification in relevant field;
  • Experience working with the Department of Homeland Security or intelligence community;
  • Current Top Secret security clearance;
  • Familiarity with supply chain risk management issues and challenges;
  • Experience with resource management, including budgeting and financial tracking;
  • Contract performance, profit/loss and compliance management experience;
  • Business development experience with business development, particularly in the homeland security and emergency management space;
  • Demonstrated experience with knowledge management tools and techniques, including SharePoint;
  • Project Management, Agile, and/or Cyber Certifications (PMP / ACP / CSM / SAFe / CISM);
  • Experience in legal and policy research.
