This position is the bridge between the business and IT, working with both sides to propose changes to processes and systems to meet the needs of the business. Accountable for the design, implementation, continuous improvement and maintenance of platforms and other related applications. Responsible for managing a team, development of people and maintaining relationships with appropriate 3rd party providers. Identifies stakeholders and develops strong relationships with them whilst maintaining a detailed knowledge of business processes, needs and pain points. Maintains an awareness of market and industry best practices and identifies opportunities for improvement focused primarily on sales, customer support, dealer management and tools.

Interface between business, technology and support teams through developing and improving relationship between the business and IT


Facilitate and coordinate gathering information that results in the definition and documentation of business objectives, requirements and processes


Design and implement business processes and system solutions in support business requirements, objectives and goals


Develop and maintain a deep understanding business process, procedures, solutions and systems


Plan and manage the evaluation of software processes. Identify, propose, initiate and lead software and process improvement based on new business ideas and concepts,


Take action to exploit opportunities that will have a measurable effect on operational effectiveness, with associated benefits to the business including lower costs


Coordinate the identification and assessment of new and emerging solutions, technologies products and best practices. Evaluate the likely relevance of these for the business and provides regular briefings to staff and business management


Recognizes strategic application of IT and exploits existing IT assets to maximize return on investment


Participate in the development of long range plans and goals


Leads projects ensuring quality design is implemented to consistently meet business objectives, requirements, expectations and the realization of measurable business benefits


Review and prioritize enhancements requests, analyze their necessity and implement


Develop standards, strategies and procedures to improve software development lifecycle process, ensure team adheres to these standards


Adhere to and manage projects, enhancements and issues per quality standards and procedures, reports team and individual status in an appropriate and timely manner


Sign off on all system changes for and related systems as a result of projects, enhancements and issues ensuring adherence to all change, release, problem, incident and continuity  management processes


Support business users in development and delivery of end user and ongoing training and education programs


Establish team goals, objectives and accountabilities and work with team members to identify individual goals, objectives and accountabilities


Provide annual performance reviews of team members providing feedback to IT management on performance


Provide leadership and mentoring to others in the company related to area of expertise


Manage IT resources as well as oversight of systems, allocates resources as required to fulfill projects, enhancements and support.


Work with extended IT teams on projects as required.   Good knowledge of sales, marketing and customer support processes is required due to the integrations into ERP and other systems.


Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.


Position requires regular and predictable attendance.

An employee in this position, upon appointment, should have the equivalent of the following:

Expert knowledge and hands on experience platforms, Architecture, Design, Development, Administration and Operational Support required

Expert knowledge to design and optimize based on industry best practices

Expert knowledge of declarative work, SOQL, custom object development, workflow, triggers, and integration tools

Expert knowledge of configuring and supporting and understands integration points between, SAP,  and other applications

Solid Knowledge and ability to demonstrate of systems and business processes within the sales, marketing and customer support

Expert knowledge on IT agile, change, release, problem, incident and continuity management processes

Expert knowledge on software development lifecycle processes and typical problems associated with the implementation of information systems, from initial concept through development and implementation to operation and support

Expert knowledge and experience implementing and executing testing strategies and methodologies (all testing phases)

Expert knowledge in the development and maintenance of platforms

Ability to quickly learn existing business processes and concepts and combine knowledge from multiple disciplines to improve and optimize business processes

Ability to engage business and extract understand and document business requirements and translate them into functional and technical designs/specifications

Ability to facilitate the analysis and design of business processes, and articulate potential changes to business processes in a convincing manner, both orally and in writing

Ability to make sound and far reaching decisions on major issues of software process improvement within an organization and takes responsibility for it on a technical and managerial basis

Ability to present and communicate persuasively and effectively to senior management

Ability to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of project management techniques and methodologies

Ability to demonstrate a rational and organized approach to the tasks undertaken and an awareness of the need to achieve quality solutions

Ability to personally managed a team of at least 2-5 of direct reports, as well as managed simultaneously at least 5-10 indirect report resources in a matrix environment

Ability to demonstrate people management, people development and team building skills

Ability to be self-motivated, take initiative and be able to work in a team-based environment.

Ability to take responsibility and shows skill in the management of change

Ability to demonstrate the highest standards of professional behavior in dealing with clients, colleagues and staff.

Acceptable Training and Experience includes Bachelors Degree in computer science or business related major, 10+ years’ experience with and/or CRM systems, 3+ full implementation lifecycles, certifications are a plus,.  Has managed a team of at least 1-5 of direct reports, as well as managed simultaneously at least 6-10 indirect report resources in a matrix environment
