IT QA Analyst, Salesforce

 

Summary/Objective

 

Responsible for the design, documentation, and execution of manual and automated test scripts across all stages of the software development life cycle (Agile/SCRUM). The QA Analyst will partner with multiple groups that include Hunter Douglas IT, third-party development, Salesforce admins, and business users. This person will implement testing best practices, methodologies, and templates to improve the quality of our Salesforce system and meet solution requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. (These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.)

 

Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.


Reviews software requirements and specifications to develop an automated testing strategy for a product or release. 


Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).


Logs and track defects, reports technical issues to development teams, and verifies fixes


Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including tool and process guidelines and establishing metrics.


Serves as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and leading outside contract testers in best practices, processes, and tools.


Help define testing tool suite including automated regression testing tool.


Executes automated tests using multiple systems, platforms, environments, or browsers


Collaborate with system admins and developers on how to complete test-ready work and how to write and automate test cases.


Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback


Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate quality testing activities

 

 

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

 

Position requires regular and predictable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KSA’S FOR EMPLOYMENT

An employee in this position, upon appointment, should have the equivalent of the following:

Acceptable Training and Experience includes Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of experience as a QA Analyst. 1-2 years experience testing Salesforce Lightning Experience. 4-6 years experience aligning QA processes with Agile/Scrum methodology, sprint planning and execution. 4-6 years experience building test plans, test cases and test scenarios. 1-2 years experience with automated testing tools.
