The position:  As a member of the Marketing Department, the primary responsibility of the Graphic Designer at Custom Brands Group is to develop and manage our digital asset management system, collaborating with key partners to design overall strategy and deployment of our digital assets.  Assisting the Art Director and members of the Marketing team in all graphic design functions including design layout and production, photo editing, and optimizing graphics for digital marketing. Additionally, will lead in digital content generation and tools for our customer segments and stay up-to-date on new media technologies providing suggestions on upgrades/adoption as relevant.

Position is based in the Cerritos office, however due to COVID-19 restrictions all employees are currently working remotely from home until further notice.

Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities

  1. Work with our marketing team to create digital and print materials for company products
  2. Design layout and production of brochures and reference guides
  3. Assist with packaging and sample book design, die-lines, and print assets
  4. Photo editing and color correction
  5. Video editing and production for company products
  6. Manage content archiving across multiple platforms
  7. Assist in digital design projects as well as traditional print
  8. Must be able to design within our company branding guidelines

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), QuarkXpress
  • Video production skills using Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere
  • Basic WordPress knowledge
  • Familiarity with Content Management systems
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of 3D CGI modeling (3DS Max, Maya or SketchUp with V-Ray) helpful (but not required)
  • Bilingual in Canadian French to support our Canada team (but not required)

Design education necessary; college degree preferred. Must have a minimum of 2+ years in graphic/digital design.
