Staff Accountant
Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for conducting accounting and reporting activities in Corporate Accounting. These activities will be done with timeliness and accuracy to control the organizations’ financial resources, ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations and provide decision support to senior management. The accountant will be responsible for performing the monthly accounting close, preparing financial statements, and completing month end and year end reporting packages.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. (These examples do not include all of the functions that the employee may be expected to perform.)
- Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
- Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
- Meeting processing and reporting deadlines
- Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
- Other activities and special projects as assigned
Position requires regular and predictable attendance.
Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.

- Strong analytical skills with a focus on details and accuracy are needed to synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends and translate them into insight for management.
- Maintain flexibility in a fast paced environment and continuously evolve to meet changing business needs.

- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment and display solid organizational, time management and project management skills.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience: Experience includes a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 2-4 years of relevant experience. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to quickly learn new software applications. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Knowledge of SAP and Oracle HFM is a plus.
Work Environment
Hybrid – 2 days remote Monday & Friday and 3 days in office Tuesday - Thursday
May require occasional travel. May require working over 40 hours a week

Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual base salary range: $60,000-$66,000
- Bonus target range: 5%-10%
