As part of the Hunter Douglas creative team, you will use your highly experienced retouching skills and photographic expertise to depict our products in the most accurate way and enhance the overall customer shopping experience across all printed and digital channels. Strong organization skills and extreme attention to detail are key strengths for this role. 


This role will work out of our Bloomfield, CO office and will work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days work from home).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. (These examples do not include all of the functions which the salaried/exempt employee may be expected to perform):

  • Using Adobe Photoshop and other image manipulation programs, you will perform complex image work to match product samples for color accuracy, balance mood and lighting in large sets of images shot by multiple teams in different settings and occasionally combine multiple exposures, replace large environments, products, models, or other items within the shot. You will expected to compensate for imperfections, damaged or incorrect product samples (ie: removing scratches, tears and dents, replacing or implementing missing hardware, adjusting fabric colors and textures by matching swatches/materials).
  • Replace backgrounds or product if needed, add realistic drop shadows and shading to create highly stylized and believable imagery. Your attention to detail and ability to create highly polished imagery is of the utmost importance.  
  • Strong adherence to digital asset file organization, naming conventions, color space, crop, file size and other technical specifications.  
  • Clearly communicate progress and final file delivery to interdepartmental partners.  

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree
  • 5-7 years of experience with in-studio image retouching. Experience with interior design and/or architectural image retouching is strongly preferred and will be prioritized.
  • Must have experience retouching images with talent (models).
  • Portfolio with before / after examples required. Portfolio must include examples of interiors (i.e. living room, bedroom, etc.). If you have referenced a website with your before / after retouching examples, please be sure to update it with examples of interiors.

Qualifications & KSA’s:
An employee in this position, upon appointment, should have the equivalent of the following:

  • Expert in using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of photography, lighting, exposure, and composition.
  • Ability to create super-comps of scenes for photographers and set designers to use as reference before shoots.
  • Familiarity with all studio tools, lighting, technical software, proofing systems and printing.
  • Highly proficient in all aspects of digital image quality control and output: file size, light, color balance, color profiling, and retouching
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently
  • Formal training in the use of digital camera systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Self-sufficient and reliable
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse creative team.

Pay Information
The salary for this role ranges from $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience with a discretionary bonus of up to 10%.
