SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Production department. The Supervisor works with the Production manager to efficiently prioritize team efforts and to assure that Safety, Quality, Production goals, and shipments are achieved or exceeded. The Production Supervisor is a vital part of the team, that directs and coordinates the activities of others and leading by example; functions as the “Go-To” person for the area; acting as a liaison and providing feedback to management and all other support teams with respect to the operation of their Team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
List the degree or certification required. List the years of experience in the related field required.
Have a minimum of 3 year/s of fabrication or manufacturing experience. High school diploma or equivalent, prefer a college certificate or degree. This position will require coaching, training and mentoring skills. Must have basic computer and math skills, have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Must work irregular overtime hours when necessary.

The Production Supervisor should possess all of the following qualities to ensure successful job performance.
This position will require the use of personal protective equipment, hand and power tools. Must have the ability to use office equipment including phone, fax, copier and computer.

All employees including other supervisors, managers, senior management and executive management personnel.
Office personnel including supervisors, management staff, customer service and sales.
Limited contact with outside vendors, these individuals may or may not be employees of other HD facilities.

Physical working conditions, percentage of travel, hours, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to fingers, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, pull, push, write, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate except when next to the dust collector
