Position Overview: 

The Production Artist will support Marketing Communications (Marcomm) projects that drive the brand to meet business and marketing strategies. The Production Artist will help internal customers produce best-in-class materials, on target, on time, and on budget. As a brand steward, the Production Artist ensures file accuracy and preparation that results in proper production that meets the highest quality standards.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for production design execution that supports our brands, business strategy, and project objectives under the direction provided by the Creative Director
  • Collaborates with fellow Marcomm teammates to identify project requirements and creative deliverables that support the program objectives
  • Applies branded design via templates and also creates iterative versions of artwork
  • Provides continual quality control while ensuring optimal output of all department files
  • Tracks artwork to completion and contacts or assists vendors and stakeholders as needed
  • Prioritizes assigned tasks for self and often works concurrently on multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
  • Curator of Digital Asset Management (DAM) repository structure, naming and metadata
  • Owns user and technical guide documentation and helps establish department standards
  • Owns sales training materials including product sheets, instructions, and reference materials
  • Uses ethical business practices in dealing with customers, coworkers, vendors, suppliers,
    and the community
  • Utilizes project workflow and proofing tools for job tracking and department accountability
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in production artist role 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac environment, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Experience with Workfront (workflow & proof), Adobe Scene7 are a plus
  • Digital asset management (DAM) systems
  • Consumer Goods and retail experience preferred
  • Knowledge of print standards including G7 GRACOL are a plus
  • Illustration skills for icon development and technical guide support are a plus
