About Humble Bundle:

Humble Bundle sells games, ebooks, software, and other digital content. Our mission is to support charity while providing awesome content to customers at great prices. We launched in 2010 with a single two-week Humble Indie Bundle, but we have humbly grown into a store full of games and bundles, a subscription service, a game publisher, and more. We have raised $200 million for charity and counting.

Position Intro:

We're looking for an entrepreneurial self starter to join our software business development team. You should be willing and excited to work independently to generate ideas for products and promotions, and see those ideas through to completion with enthusiasm, drive and tenacity. 

You will initiate and close deals with top app developers, content creators, and publishers to bring exciting and new Software content that resonate with our existing users as well as new users outside of Humble’s “video game enthusiasts” while continuing Humble Bundle's mission to raise money for thousands of worthwhile causes.

You should have strong connections in the software industry and be able to initiate and close deals with major developers.

  • Identify and secure meaningful and impactful partnerships, lead curation for regular promotions from initial idea including sourcing, negotiating, signing and launching deals 
  • Develop business development strategies, focusing on product and growth partnerships
  • Drive business reviews with partners and ensure the delivery of sustainable high impact results
  • Build, maintain, and evolve strong consultative executive-level relationships with existing and prospective partners, aligning their business objectives with the needs of Humble Bundle software customers 
  • Acquire news users outside of Humble’s audience by leveraging key relationships and sourcing new partners 
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including product, marketing, legal, finance, and engineering teams to negotiate deal terms and advocate on behalf of partners.
  • Experience in negotiating non-standard business or corporate development agreements
  • Develop and maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of the PC software space as well as game development, creative software, content creation and the most sought-after tools from users in game development 
  • Represent Humble Bundle at relevant partner, industry, and press events
  • Collaborate with teammates to enable Humble to continue being a force for good while working with developers to help them grow as well

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience with a minimum of 3+ years of business development and/or partnership management experience in the Software/Game Dev industry 
  • Wide and strong network connections in the Software and game development industry is a must
  • Experience operating with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment and work effectively cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about software, apps and services, game development, and content creation of all kinds is key!

  • Has the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data and make data-driven decisions to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills with technical, contractual and financial issues
  • Tech-savvy, creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to comfortably work on multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to find solutions to overcome obstacles
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Bonus Points

  • Marketing experience - email marketing, newsletters, SEO, content creation
  • Digital merchandising experience 

Travel Requirements:

As needed, but up to 10-20%.  This job includes possible meetings at partner sites and conferences via air travel.  Job could entail  long work days during events of up to 12 - 14 hours per day.
