Job Summary
We are looking for a careers specialist to provide outstanding service to our New Alumni Segment (3 years post-graduation) and our broader alumni community across a diverse portfolio of programs and ages, both Undergraduate and Post-Graduates. Our alumni are incredibly diverse, representing over 140 nationalities, and come from a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences. Professional life stages will vary between early career, first employment, to mid-career, 3 to 5 years, and more seasoned professionals 10+ years.
The successful candidate will be able to develop a rapport with these alumni, understand their career needs and guide them in a personalized career strategy (leveraging career service resources, alumni network and training/upskilling content creation, amongst others).
He/she will be based in London and report into the Senior Vice President of External Affairs and will work in closer partnership with the Employer Relation teams across our network of campuses.
Responsibilities
1 on 1 and Group Advisory (Career Strategy Huddles)
Plan and Deliver Career Strategy Sessions, to be offered in a 1 on 1 and/or in a group setting, ensuring tailored advisory that aligns with age/experience/program/career goals of alumni.
Develop/oversee a network of part-time contractors to support with specific market know-how and delivery of advisory in different international locations where alumni reside.
Conduct Document Reviews (powered by new technology)
Resume/Cover Letters to support alumni in customizing their profiles to employment applications and the systems in place to filter these (machine readable).
Curate Career Content
Plan and Deliver across different platforms and/or formats (webinars, workshops, others) to support the Career Growth of Hult Alumni, partnering with Career Services, Employer Relations, Alumni Relations and External Service Providers.
Manage On-Demand Resources
Monitor on demand resources available to alumni to ensure relevancy and update as needed by adding/phasing out tools to evolve in line with alumni/market needs.
Monitor Career Trends and Integrate Best Practices
Support the career development of Alumni by staying up to date on market research and employer trends. Integrate into advisory, content creation, and on demand resources as deemed relevant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a Career Services, Coaching and/or HR.
- Prior experience working with students and/or alumni.
- Ability to foster and celebrate an inclusive, equitable, and diverse community.
- Proven track record of achieving customer satisfaction/job placement success.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and commitment to building relationships across a broad and international stakeholder map.
- Microsoft office proficiency; word, excel, powerpoint and outlook.
- Familiarity using CRM; Salesforce or other.
