As Finance Manager, you will be managing the accounting team and be responsible for all US based legal entities within the Hult International Business School. You will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s finance activities; including month close, year-end activities and budget and forecast processes. You will be a member of the operational management team and provide financial advice and support to enable sound business decisions. Furthermore, you will evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting and collection processes and make recommendations for changes to procedures, budgets, and other financial control functions.

You will be partnering with other managers, within and outside of the global finance department and reporting to the Finance Manager. you will be part of a growing team that emphasizes ownership and engagement from the entire school. For the successful candidate, this position provides immense opportunities for growth and ownership, with the requirement to contribute to large scale business decisions and planning.
The position is based at Hult International Business School’s campus in Cambridge, MA.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance function and ideally be a Chartered Accountant. International experience of working in different countries and managing diverse teams will also be valuable. Finally, as the role will require extensive work with improving existing and establishing new financial reporting systems experience with financial systems will be a plus.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage finance operations, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end tasks
- Oversight of financial reporting and consolidation procedures, including collaboration with internal and external auditors
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
- Optimize finance processes and collaborate with Global Excellence Centers for core processes
- Preparation of legal entity forecasting
- Handle legal, tax, and VAT matters, ensuring compliance with local laws and transfer pricing regulations
- Handle all statutory reporting including different accreditation organizations
- Prepare financial and managerial reports, including Board presentations
- Oversee intercompany transactions and manage cash and treasury activities
The ideal candidate has:
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- University and Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with Oracle Fusion
- Open-minded, solution-oriented and driven
- Strong analytical, organizational and management skills
- Flexible and able to multitask / proactive and flexible
- Effective in presenting information clearly and credibly
- The ability to thrive in an international and fast-paced environment
- Strong team management experience
- Prior project management experience desirable.
- The ability to structure, plan and prioritize work in order to deliver against multiple deadlines.
- The capacity to collaborate with people across a wide variety of skills and seniority to deliver results.
- Displays accountability and commitment to team goals.
- Strong communication and social skills and with all levels of management.
- International experience is considered an advantage
- Previous experience from Educational institutions
