The Opportunity:
Are you a visionary leader with a passion for transforming the financial experience of students? We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Director of Student Financial Services to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead initiatives that directly impact student success, optimize financial aid processes, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will oversee a high-performing team and collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to create innovative solutions that enhance student affordability, accessibility, and retention.

You will oversee a high-performing team and collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to create innovative solutions that enhance student affordability, accessibility, and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Drive the strategic vision for Student Financial Services, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across financial aid, student accounts, billing, and payment services.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations, reducing risk while enhancing the financial aid process for students.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of financial professionals, promoting a student-centered approach in all aspects of service delivery.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage analytics and data to identify trends, optimize processes, and make informed decisions that improve operational efficiency and student outcomes.
- Financial Aid Optimization: Innovate financial aid strategies to maximize funding opportunities for students, ensuring equitable distribution and affordability.
- Collaboration & Partnerships: Work closely with Enrollment Management, Admissions, Academic Teams, Registry, and other departments to align financial aid strategies with institutional goals and student success initiatives.
- Student Experience: Enhance the student experience by simplifying financial processes and providing clear, accessible guidance to students and their families.
- Technology & Process Improvement: Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies and best practices to streamline financial aid applications, disbursements, and billing systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in student financial services or higher education financial aid administration.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations, compliance, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in student financial access and success.
