At Hudson Pacific Properties, we provide best-in-class office space to the biggest names in tech and media (Netflix & Amazon), and we're seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our Vancouver team. This position is responsible for financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficiency and accuracy in applying receipts and process billing charges.

What You’ll Do:
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions such as funds received in multiple bank accounts and posts to tenant ledgers in Yardi database.
  • Compiles and sort documents such as cash receipts, tenant billings, and move out documentation substantiating business transactions.
  • Computes and records changes, refunds, payment reversals, and tenant credit applications.
  • Assists in the preparation of invoices, account statements, reports, and other records and reviews for accuracy.
  • Performs review of aged receivables to ensure A/R balances display an accurate picture of tenant receivables.
  • Reconciles tenant accounts & reports discrepancies.
  • Prepares a minimal amount of journal entries for input into financial data processing system according to company procedures.
  • Reviews entries against source documents and makes necessary corrections.
  • Locate and monitor overdue accounts, collaborates with operations & property management personnel for timely resolution of collection matters & billing disputes.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years general office/data entry/accounting experience required.
  • A good understanding of accounting principles and processes.
  • Strong focus on customer interaction and satisfaction; ability to maintain and establish effective relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills to write emails, and reports, and interact orally with internal and external clients.
  • Strong organizational and research skills, solid attention to detail, high accuracy, problem solving and decision-making.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent technical skills and a demonstrated working knowledge of computers and software including high proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Yardi.

Salary Range: $30.00 - $32.00 an hour CAD (subject to relevant experience).
