At Hudson Pacific Properties, we provide best-in-class office space to the biggest names in tech and media (Netflix & Amazon), and we're seeking a Senior Director, Total Rewards for our Corporate office in Los Angeles, CA. The Senior Director, Total Rewards will oversee strategy and execution in all areas of Total Rewards for Hudson Pacific Properties: including compliance, data & analytics; employee health and benefits (including open enrollment), LOA, safety & wellness; compensation, and bonus programs. Create a Total Rewards strategy and articulate the company’s vision to executives and employees. Reporting to and collaborating with the SVP, People & Culture, the Senior Director, Total Rewards will partner with other members of the People & Culture team and business leaders to design and execute a comprehensive Total Rewards program. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in multiple systems with the ability to develop and implement creative solutions that align with Hudson Pacific’s strategic initiatives to attract/retain top talent.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy that is aligned with the business strategy including the following:
  • Develop global compensation strategy using competitive market data and best practices while staying current on emerging compensation and benefits trends.
  • Manage annual compensation planning cycle process including determining key compensation priorities based on internal and market data comparisons.
  • Benchmark positions using salary surveys for developing and maintaining salary structures. Analyze appropriate market data to develop point of view for new and existing positions.
  • Manage the Executive Compensation process.
  • Lead development and administration of benefit plans, policies and programs targeted at employee engagement, maximizing productivity and retention.
  • Ensure the company offers competitive global benefits and well-being programs with regular analysis and comparisons of programs including (medical, dental, life insurance, disability, supplemental insurance, 401(k), time away, leave, etc.) as well as emerging offerings and options. 
  • Oversee Open Enrollment process and coordinate with brokers to ensure systems are updated with appropriate benefit offerings.
  • Manage the effective communication of all compensation and benefit programs, driving employee understanding and appreciation of the programs offered.
  • Manage global broker relationship and vendor performance of all benefit partners, ensuring programs are cost-effective and meeting service-level agreements.
  • Provide management with regular analysis and recommendations of changes to available programs and plans for optimal return on investment.
  • In collaboration with Payroll, ensure maximum utility and effectiveness of HRIS system capability and offerings.
  • Oversee and enhance the Workers Compensation and Workplace Safety program.
  • Oversee and enhance the Leave of Absence program and ensure compliance with laws/regulations by adapting guiding principles and best practices with an approach that aligns with our service company culture. Possess comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law, policies for administration of leaves of absences, ADA, accommodations, and workers comp.
  • Lead and mentor benefits team; ensure that they are technically strong and effective partners to the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws/regulations related to all aspects of Human Resource management. Keep abreast of changes in Human Resource and employment law in all relevant jurisdictions and manage company relationships with state and local regulatory agencies.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to align the company values and ensure a best-in-class employee experience.
  • Build effective relationships across the business with enhanced communication and identification of key issues and priorities. 
  • Own all company People & Culture policies and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and communication to employees in a positive and timely manner.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, or other relevant subject area required OR Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Compensation in a both high-growth and more established organizations. Preferred experience in publicly held corporation and global environment.
  • ADP and Workday experience required.
  • Skilled at handling a wide variety of complex total rewards matters including: compensation committee / proxy materials / data and Market Survey tools.
  • Data enthusiast who will gather insights, make data-driven decisions, and measure the effectiveness of total rewards programs.
  • Expertise in federal and California employment laws, including FLSA, immigration, discrimination, family and medical leave, ADA, sexual harassment training, etc.
  • Strong technical capacity, sound business acumen and keen financial / analytical ability.  Must be very numbers and detail oriented.  
  • Ability to serve as strategic advisor to the senior executive leadership and People & Culture business partners on compensation programs, policy and guideline interpretation.
  • Demonstrated background in developing and administering a competitive compensation program (equity and cash) strategy.
  • Experience with M&A, including all aspects of integration and due diligence, ideally on a global level. 
  • Proven skill with initiating and leading change in a dynamic and growth-oriented organization.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with C-suite-level leaders, weighing concepts and prioritizing plans to support competing priorities.
  • Experience in a union environment.
  • Positive, self-starter with strong project management skills; highly collaborative / responsive and able to operate and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Agile leader and problem solver with ability to anticipate and think outside the box, managing multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise seamlessly with, provide recommendations and influence individuals at all levels across the organization.

Salary Range: $175,000.00 to $200,000.00 annually USD (subject to relevant experience).
