At Hudson Pacific Properties, we provide best-in-class office space to the biggest names in tech and media (i.e., Netflix & Amazon), and we're seeking a Corporate Accountant to support our headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. This position will oversee all daily, monthly, and quarterly financial information for assigned corporate entities and use professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve problems in creative and effective ways. Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluations of various factors and exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results, in addition to anticipating problems and taking action to prevent or minimize impact.  

What You'll Do  
  • Provides key financial support, including internal and external reporting, month-end closing duties, and analyzing and communicating business performance.
  • Research and resolve accounting transactions.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial information.
  • Review documents such as bank statements and vendor invoices.
  • Calculates and enters monthly contract item accruals to match expenses to the period incurred and reviews trial balance for reversing the same entries in the next accounting period.
  • Consult with internal staff as to general ledger coding for payables.
  • Supports the compilation of annual and periodic budget information.
  • Manage the corporate entities accounting for receivables and payables.
  • Assist management with the preparation and management of internal/external audits.
  • Respond to various requests and inquiries from internal/external auditors.
  • Ensures all appropriate reviews and approvals are completed prior to
  • processing data into the accounting system.
  • Prepares balance sheet tie-out to balance the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
  • Prepare and reconcile debt schedules to the Balance Sheet.
  • Reconcile corporate banking transactions.
  • Ensures GAAP is being adhered to appropriately.
  • Required to understand, guide, and implement effective internal controls to meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned.
  
What You'll Need  
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of general accounting experience is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • A strong understanding of general accounting and financing principles, including working knowledge of account payables, receivables, and budgets, is necessary.
  • Excellent computer skills and demonstrated working knowledge of computers and software, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office and a high level of ability with Excel functions, shortcuts, and formulas.
  • Extremely flexible, proactive, highly organized, and able to shift priorities, multitask, and handle heavy workflow processing under time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to write memos and reports with the ability to interact well with all levels of the corporation.
  • Strong organizational and research skills, solid attention to detail, high accuracy, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Commercial real estate experience preferred.
  
Salary Range: $31.25 to $36.53 an hour USD (subject to relevant experience)
