Job Overview: 

An Inside Sales Associate’s primary responsibility will be to provide phone and computer-based customer service and to sell parts and to accounts and prospects. The position requires frequent inbound and outbound phone calling. The position requires significant over the phone relationship development, account management and some prospecting to support our overall goal of sustained year over year growth. This is a team-based position so must work with other team members as needed to support customer sales and service.

    

Responsibilities and Duties:
    

• Answer phones and assist customer with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
• Upsell additional parts when possible
• Build relationships with customers
• Assist outside sales staff with customers issues via phone when needed
• Work with Outside sales Team to maintain and grow a defined book of business containing new and existing accounts
• Work with other departments of HTI to have total ownership of accounts from an administrative, operational, and sales process
• Network with customers to identify new potential customers
• Cold call new potential customers to increase branch sales
• Call customer to announce new product lines and specials – a reason to call
• Contract price items to facilitate online ordering
• Utilize the company’s ERP system Infor M3
• Train customers on the use of Parts 123 to automate order entry
• Understand margins and work to increase margins   
• Assist with training of new staff
• Other tasks as assigned
