Health Standards Organization (HSO) is searching for a Bilingual (English and Canadian French) Editor who specializes in healthcare language and writing. We need a skilled editor and proof-reader to make sure our French-translated documents capture the essence of our source English – ensuring the French-Canadian vernacular is accurate (Canadian/Quebecois French) and adapted to the French-Canadian healthcare reality.
Our ideal candidate is a healthcare communications professional with a minimum of 5+ years of experience working within the field of healthcare and/or in healthcare services terminology management and writing. We’ll be counting on you to review, validate, and improve the French translation of medical terminology and industry-specific language found throughout our standards and other technical documents. Through your expert understanding of Canadian French and English healthcare terminology, as well as your contextual understanding of Quebec healthcare as gained through 5+ years of relevant experience, you will ensure our French documents meet the same high level of quality as our English source documents.
In addition to skilled and articulate editors/proof-readers, we’re looking for individuals with a love for language and a passion for achieving quality health services for all. Undaunted by a challenging deadline, you love to collaborate, and you’re adaptable in the face of change. In Canada and around the world, we are building a bold and bright future for our enterprise and our clients. If you are looking for a challenge and seeking to be part of something larger than yourself, we’d love to hear from you.
