Do you like working in a manufacturing environment?  Do you like working with a team of professionals?  Do you like working in a safety focused work place?  If you said yes to these questions, then our Production Associate position at our Wiggins, MS plywood mill might be right for you. 

 

Hood Industries, Inc. is a blend of wood manufacturing and distribution facilities that include plywood and lumber manufacturing plants, and sixteen specialty wood product distribution operations, located in fourteen states serving the northeast, southeast and southwest United States.

These positions are entry-level and full time positions. Day shifts and night shifts are also available. Rehires are welcome to apply. Hood pays weekly.  Employee benefits include medical, employee assistance program, dental, vision, cancer, flexible spending account, life, and LTD, available first of the month following completion of one month of continuous full time employment.  401(k) with company match is also available.  Paid Time Off  (PTO) available after after only six (6) months of employment. 

Working conditions:

  • Must be willing and able to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.  Standing, walking, climbing, repetitive bending, repetitive stooping, repetitive reaching with arms and repetitive grasping with hands and fingers.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.  Must be able to work safely in a fast paced environment working around production machines, warehouse equipment, forklifts, and large trucks.
