Talent Acquisition & Compensation Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manage talent acquisition and compensation programs for the company. Implement efficient and effective recruiting and compensation strategies based on industry standards and the needs of the organization. Assure that all programs are properly communicated, administered, and monitored and are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Become an expert practitioner of “The Hood Way”. Guide others in the organization, at all levels, to ensure that our company operates according to “The Hood Way”.
• Focus in the areas of candidate talent search and engagement, as well as talent acquisition process improvement and strategy development.
• Provide support and training to facility people operations staff and management regarding how to administer the company ATS (Jobvite) at all levels of the organization. Develop communication materials and administrative processes/forms for documenting the use of Jobvite by all relevant employees.
• Collaborate with leaders and hiring managers in the development, design, and execution of talent engagement strategies for both technical and non-technical roles.
• Provide strategic guidance based on data and talent insights.
• Oversee the screening and selection processes for evaluation potential candidates conducted by the recruiting team.
• Analyze effectiveness of efforts through data analysis and reporting including search progress reports, status reports, and market trends.
• Implement strategic hiring procedures and improve upon recruitment measures.
• Suggest and create new and effective interviewing procedures and techniques.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and a strong service-oriented culture, which ensures delivery of an efficient, effective, quality driven service to internal customers.
• Create relevant, compelling, personalized candidate experiences that align with the company’s values and mission.
• Maintain, update, and manage the internal salary guidelines for the organization by using market data and industry surveys.
• Participate in industry surveys regularly to maintain current compensation data.
• Respond to appropriate regulatory compensation surveys across the organization.
• Recommend and implement changes to compensation plans across the organizations with regard to total compensation in order to improve competitiveness with the market or provide coverage better fitted to the employees’ needs.
• Manage and implement the annual compensation analysis for the organization.
• Provide leadership in people operations management and as an example of professional conduct and development. Consistently reinforce a commitment to customer-focus toward both internal and external customers. Practice and support teamwork within people operations and across organizational boundaries. Broaden scope of knowledge outside area of responsibility. Maintain and increase knowledge of the wood products and related business environments. Practice the highest level of ethical behaviors and respect for others.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s level education in business, human resources, risk management, or a related area; and appropriate advanced education and continued training in human resources.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional level experience in recruiting, compensation, payroll, and/or HR generalist activities.
• CAC, SHRM, PHR, or related certification helpful.
