Hood Industries, Inc. is a blend of wood manufacturing and distribution concerns that include plywood and lumber manufacturing plants, and sixteen specialty wood product distribution operations, located in fourteen states serving the northeast, southeast and southwest United States.

Hood Industries seeks an Industrial Electrician at our Plywood manufacturing operation in Wiggins, MS.  The ideal candidate must have experience with motor control circuits, pneumatic valves & cylinders, knowledge of conduit bending, wiring motors, hydraulic valves and cylinder relay circuits, DC & AC drives, limit & proximity switches, and other field devices. AB controls and PLC experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extensive experience with 3-phase motors
  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical equipment. 
  • Competent with programming of VFD, Allen Bradley software.
  • Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLCs. 
  • Performing general maintenance and troubleshooting. 
  • Confident using hand tools, and test equipment.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • 5+ years related electrical experience.

Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
