Process Optimization Coordinator
Description
Hood Industries, Inc is seeking a Process Optimization Coordinator for our Beaumont, MS plywood facility. This is a greenfield site that will employ up to 250 employees. The Process Optimization Coordinator is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvement initiatives across various departments within the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimization and drive change.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate current processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Utilize data analysis and process mapping techniques to assess workflow and performance metrics.
• Lead process improvement projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
• Work closely with department heads and team members to gather input, facilitate discussions, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Provide training and support to staff on new processes and tools. Develop instructional materials and conduct workshops to ensure understanding and adoption of process changes.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvements. Monitor progress and report on results to stakeholders, making adjustments as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, improvements, and outcomes. Ensure all changes are documented in accordance with organizational standards.
• Ensure that all process optimization initiatives comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.
• May also have additional responsibilities related to the operations of the plant, as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process improvement, project management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in process mapping and analysis tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma methodologies).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process improvement, project management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in process mapping and analysis tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma methodologies).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
