Proactive Problem Solver Needed
Our licensed Millwright Mechanic help us maintain equipment, ensure safe operations, and minimize downtime in our warehouse facilities. Experience should include, but not be limited to: conveyors, dock levelers, forklifts, balers, compactors, compressors, and other hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Led by the Supervisor, Facilities and Equipment, this opportunity will suit someone with excellent troubleshooting skills who loves the challenge of repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment.
Shift available:
Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00pm to 7:00am
Weekend Night Shift: Friday to Sunday, 7:00pm to 7:00am
Ready to make an impact? Here’s how:
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all equipment.
- Complete assigned tasks including planning design or modifications as needed.
- Perform fabrication of parts including welding, cutting, grinding, and carpentry.
- Assist in sourcing parts for equipment.
- Perform some minor electrical functions within competencies.
We’re looking for:
- College Diploma and/or Certificates of Qualification for skilled trades.
- Valid 433A Ontario Industrial Millwright License and/or Motive Power Machinist 401K and/or Die Maker 430A (or similar depending on your provincial requirements).
- 1-2 years relative millwright experience.
- Knowledge of air and electrical power tools, welding torches, milling machines and lathes, drill presses, band saws, pipe threaders, etc.
- Experience reading blueprints to support troubleshooting, planning, and fabrication as needed.
- Strong communications and people skills.
