Shaping Home Hardware's Story
As a Videographer, you will drive the creation of compelling video content, from storyboarding to editing, to support corporate communications and strategic initiatives. Your work will transform content into engaging stories that promote, educate, and build momentum for the Enterprise Portfolio Plan (EPP) and key operational initiatives. Additionally, you will facilitate communication to Dealers through various channels, ensuring they stay informed and engaged with Home programs and corporate initiatives. Led by the Communications Creative Assistant Manager, this opportunity with suit a creative, collaborative professional with a keen eye for video and design.
 
Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how: 
  • Storyboard, film, produce, animate, and edit internal and external videos in support of the operational and strategic corporate communications video program.
  • Working as a part of a team in various environments with a wide range of equipment to create incredible imagery and put it together through editing to tell our stories. Examples include: Virtual conference content, weekly video communications, Leadership Team Interviews and Strategic Updates, podcasts, webinars (Zoom and MS Teams).
  • Be a brand champion, adhering to brand standard and guidelines as outlined in Home Hardware’s Brand Guidelines document.
  • Working with the Communications Creative Assistant Manager to develop artistic and creative concepts that fulfill the project requirements and ensuring all productions stay on-track and on-brand.
  • Animating and sound recording when projects necessitate it.
  • Oversee photo/video shoots to reflect layout development and to obtain photography/video content of the highest quality, while meeting budgets and deadlines.
  • Conduct video interviews with internal and external stakeholders for storytelling.
  • Attend meetings to provide creative input and assist in design decisions and direction.
  • Multitask and prioritize multiple jobs estimating and allocating appropriate time to complete each job on time while maintaining creative excellence and brand identity.
We’re looking for:
  • College diploma in Graphic Design or Video Production, with three to five years’ experience in a multimedia role.
  • Demonstrated video production experience, with the ability to both produce and execute on the technical side of video productions.
  • Experience with DSLR equipment and sound working knowledge of lighting, video, editing and audio principles for capturing high-quality video footage.
  • Graphic design experience in both digital and print.
  • Experience working within existing brand guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and creatively demanding environment, balancing many projects at once with tight deadlines and production schedules.
  • Passion, creativity, positivity, diligence, self-motivation, ability to work in teams and individually.
  • Accommodating to multiple rounds of edits and approvals and understands and responds to creative feedback well.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat for print mediums as well as a solid understanding of Adobe After Effects and Premier for video and motion graphic content.
  • Knowledge of the MacIntosh computer work environment.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
