Executive Assistant, Retail Operations

We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join our Home Hardware team at our Head Office in St Jacobs, Ontario. This role will provide functional support to the VP of Retail Operations, including administrative support, the preparation of presentations and correspondence, and the coordination of confidential tasks.

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual, with the ability to handle changing and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, while still maintaining confidentiality and fostering trust.


Provide executive assistance to the VP, Retail Operations.

Assist in the preparation and proofing of PowerPoint presentations and written speeches.

Coordinate and prepare materials for Application Review Committee (ARC) meetings, including communication with Store Owners and other Executives, as well as taking of meeting minutes.

Prepare and distribute various routine reports that support and drive strategic initiatives.

Coordinate the activities of the Retail Operations Leadership Team, including meetings, minutes, and action items.

Assist with special projects and monitor budget reports.

Provide general office management support including oversight for time and attendance system, onboarding of new hires and travel administration.


Minimum of 5 plus years of experience preferably providing administrative support to an executive audience.

College Diploma in Administrative Studies, Business or other.

Sound judgment, discretion, professionalism, and extreme confidentially are essential.

Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, without compromising quality.

Strong customer service mindset with the ability to solve it right the first time, and deal with different stakeholders including executive members, directors, managers and fellow team members.

Proven ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with minimal guidance and react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.

Ability to deal with ambiguity and handle changing and competing priorities is a must.

Ability to work in fast-paced ever-changing environment and is always one step ahead.

Advanced skills in MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
