Our
IT Business Solutions team is looking for a Manager, Application Development. Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Solutions, you will be responsible for providing guidance on technological direction of the organization. Manage resources, oversee the planning and coordination of larger projects as well as production changes, such as installing and upgrading software and hardware, program development, systems design
, and the implementation of websites & systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage the work of IT employees, such as Systems Analysts, Software Developers, DBAs, Quality Assurance Analysts and Support Specialists for large or small projects as well as daily operations of existing systems.
  • Lead and manage full time staff and contractors and conduct performance reviews.
  • Interview, evaluate and recommend hiring of IT full-time staff and Contractors when required.
  • Work with Dealers and VPs to elicit prioritization of work and to serve as experts for their area of the end-to-end retail processes (i.e., Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Human resources, etc.); develop systems application strategy for their specific areas.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders for decision making on work performed including overseeing budgets in the tens of millions for large initiatives and for the staff of their area.
  • Perform Solution Owner and Process Owner roles for Business and IT related software solutions including environments to run this software and serve as active member of CAB and IT Kanban decision meetings for Business and IT related work.
  • Keep abreast of latest market trends and technologies in IT.
  • Assist Senior Director of Business Solutions with all IT related activities.

What we’re looking for:
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and react to changing situations.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, Microsoft/Azure Dev Ops.
  • Familiar with store applications within a retail environment.
  • Exposure to Ecommerce integrations and Dynamics 365 an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with Senior management.
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Financial budgeting & invoicing knowledge.
  • Experience working with M.S. Office and other IT related tools/applications.
  • Self-motivated and flexible.
