Senior Business Systems Analyst

Our IT Business Solutions team is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst. Reporting to the Manager - IT Business Solutions, you would be responsible for process design/modeling, information design/modeling, documenting changes to the business architecture, requirement analysis and working with the programmer analysts to deliver a strong solution to the stakeholder.

What you’ll do:

  • Providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to other team members. Assign tasks based on skills and individual capabilities.
  • Work in an agile/scrum or waterfall environment and/or support environment with other Information Technology team members, vendors and business partners.
  • Design solutions based on business requirements. 
  • The primary deliverable is the Logical and Physical Solution Architecture along with supporting documents such as project estimates. This involves working with Enterprise and Technical Architecture to understand the potential solutions to meet the business needs. 
  • Other responsibilities may include selecting/procuring services and software from vendors, configuring ‘Off the Shelf’ solutions including interaction with vendors, support project team members through the development and implementation stage of projects or support.
  • Must meet deadlines with a high level of quality, while adhering to architectural principles and following defined processes.
  • Must establish a good working relationship with team members and management to ensure that issues are escalated in a timely and appropriate manner.
     

What we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of relational databases, experience with Oracle is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of ITIL or Software Development best practices and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and people skills.
  • Must have initiative, be results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • May be required to work irregular hours to support the applications or to meet deadlines.
