Mitigating Risk to Drive Success at Home
As an Enterprise Risk Management Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing enhancement and oversight of Home’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program. You will play a critical role in ensuring a strong risk culture at Home and will be a key risk partner to the business and Home Homeware’s stakeholders. Led by the Director, Enterprise Risk Management, this opportunity will best suit someone who has experience with risk management techniques as well as strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Ready to make an impact? Here’s how:
- Assist in the implementation of and be responsible for the ongoing enhancement of Home’s ERM Program, facilitating its integration across Home’s functional areas.
- Develop and present enterprise risk reporting, communicating the status of key risks across the enterprise, in consultation with risk owners throughout the business.
- Develop tools and processes to support the business in identifying, measuring, monitoring, and reporting on enterprise risks, to ensure risks are appropriately assessed and managed.
- Perform risk assessments and evaluate the internal controls and processes across the enterprise to identify areas of risk in excess of Home’s risk appetite.
- Develop and facilitate risk training workshops to various levels, including senior management.
- Facilitate the ongoing review and renewals of Home’s corporate insurance coverages, liaising with the business and insurance providers, to ensure sufficient coverages in alignment with Home’s risk appetite.
- Support Home’s crisis management program, developing effective relationships with key business stakeholders, ensuring business processes and directives are consistent and support the crisis management program objectives.
- Provide risk management subject-matter expertise, continuing knowledge of industry trends and emerging enterprise risks, and promote a collaborative culture of risk awareness within the business.
We’re looking for:
- Diploma in Finance or Business with a minimum 5+ years of relevant risk management and/or internal control experience.
- Experience with risk management techniques, including assessments, monitoring, and internal control design and effectiveness.
- Self-motivated with superior research, analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively with and influence all levels of the business.
- Exceptional communication skills, both in written and verbal, with ability to effectively communicate recommendations and influence outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
