As a Finance Manager – Vendor Income, you will lead and provide financial and analytical support for effective reporting and processing of Vendor Income. This role collaborates closely with leaders across the organization to ensure vendor contracts are viable to drive profitability within Home Hardware. Led by the Vice-President, Corporate Finance, this opportunity will suit an experienced FP&A professional with meticulous attention to detail, strong relationship building skills and advanced financial reporting, budgeting, and planning experience.

  • Act as Finance partner to provide functional support to leaders and work closely with them to prioritize deliverables and ensure contracts are financially viable for Home Hardware and Dealers.
  • Ensure financial integrity for revenue recognition in accordance with contractual programs and generally accepted accounting principles. 
  • Provide strong leadership, ongoing coaching, and development support for direct reports.
  • Manage business relationships with vendors ensuring obligations are fulfilled and mitigating vendor risk.
  • Direct and oversee the data management of Vendor Income disputes and communication.
  • Oversee and support all associated period-end accounting, accruals, budgets, and forecasts, as well as comprehensive analysis of actual results.
  • Report on Vendor Income to gain insight and provide clarity for actionable results.  Build and develop solutions that support the business strategy and critical objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandise Leadership team to support, review and streamline Vendor Income contracts and agreements for efficiency. 
  • Support or lead continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects, as required.
We’re looking for:
  • CPA designation is required, with five to ten years’ experience in financial reporting, financial planning, analysis, and budgeting, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to establish credibility cross-functionally to influence decision making and positively impact business performance.
  • Data-driven with the ability to develop and implement business management tools, analyze, and review numbers and trends, and recommend solutions to support senior leader decision-making.
  • Highly developed business and financial acumen to drive business performance, embracing change and innovation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including exceptional skills with Excel and other analytical tools. Knowledge of Access and Oracle systems is an asset.
  • Ability to motivate, manage and provide direction to a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to handle confidentiality. 
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities with ease while continuing to meet deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
