As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the objectives of a program/project(s) as defined by the Project Sponsor.  Led by the Director, Enterprise Project Management Office this opportunity will suit someone who has excellent project management and people skills.

  • Work with the project team to clearly define the project scope and manage any changes through a formal change control process to keep the project on track and within the agreed parameters.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plan(s) to track progress.  Use appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Estimate project work efforts. Develop the project plan, schedule, and budget, and obtain agreement with key managerial stakeholders, while controlling quality, project tracking versus planned and taking.
  • Negotiate with resource managers to staff the project, also manage relationships with external software, hardware, or people resources.
  • Communicate plans, actions, project status, while continuously monitoring and addressing risks and issues as they arise with key stakeholders in a timely fashion.
  • Manage the assigned budget and shared budget insights through regular reporting.
  • Ensure all technical, business and people issues, that impact the project, are properly resolved.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plan(s) to track progress. Use appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve workflow.
 
We’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated project management competencies.  Experience working on medium to large business/system projects meeting time and quality targets/standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodology, including planning, estimating, executing, and controlling.  Proven experience managing an Information Technology project.
  • PMP and/or PRINCE2 designation would be an asset. Proven experience with waterfall, iterative waterfall, and agile scrum project execution would be an asset.
  • Ability to balance risk, cost, and benefit.
  • Results oriented with a focus on quality. Creative thinker with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Excellent people skills and written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable while operating independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer service orientation required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
