As our Process Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and enhancing machinery and tools within the facility to ensure a safe and efficient manufacturing process. You will support new product launches, as well as equipment, machinery, and technological upgrades. You will collaborate with and provide support to manufacturing and quality teams. Led by the Manufacturing & Distribution Manager, this opportunity suits someone who is detail oriented, with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are up to date.
- Review line layouts and optimize productivity by designing, implementing, and tracking time studies.
- Partner with potential vendors to discuss new equipment Capex.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Navisworks, Point Cloud or similar program to develop plant/facility wide layout.
- Work with suppliers of new technologies to support implementation of innovative concepts and methods to produce our products.
- Develop equipment and tooling specifications, identify potential suppliers, prepare and release quote packages and make sourcing recommendations to management.
- Understand critical and significant characteristics of new products and develop error proof systems. Assist in developing root cause analysis.
- Partner with maintenance and production to improve line efficiencies.
We’re looking for:
- Diploma or Degree in Process, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in line development software and Gantt charting.
- Experience in Continuous Improvement or Process Improvement
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Strong understanding of contemporary problem-solving tools and techniques.
- Ability to think creatively and proactively propose solutions with an attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database management software.
- Effective communication skills to address issues and ideas with peers and management.
- Ability to build effective working relationships throughout the organization.
- Ability to operate independently within a tight deadline environment.
