Drive Change Management to Ensure Strategic Readiness  
As the Operational Readiness Office Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Operational Readiness Office (ORO) team of skilled professionals that will own the People Change and Business Readiness components of identified projects and initiatives to enhance success rates. Led by the Director, Enterprise Project Management Office this opportunity will suit someone who is strong in managing complex change initiatives, excellent communication skills and the ability to drive successful outcomes in fast-paced, large-scale environments.

  • Own the implementation of the ORO Target Operating Model (TOM) and grow its maturity with developing trends.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team including, but not limited to, Change Management Specialists, Communications Specialists, and Change Analysts.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure their buy-in, support, and active participation in readiness initiatives.
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of the Integrated Readiness Plan (IRP), the partnership with EPMO, and the alignment with the Integrated Project Plan (IPP).
  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed about readiness activities, progress, and outcomes, providing regular reports to senior leadership leveraging effective measurement and reporting.
  • Identify pitfalls and potential points of challenge or change aversion.  Develop counterstrategies to mitigate or minimize potential issues.
  • Apply expert knowledge of change management, organizational culture and project delivery to business and growth initiatives and advise on best approaches to meet unique business requirements.
  • Build change leadership as a leadership capability by coaching and supporting sponsors, stakeholders and business leads in their change roles.
 
We’re looking for:
  • Post- secondary education in Organizational Behaviour, Business or Technology.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience successfully leading change management and readiness strategies and plans for complex, cross-functional technology-driven implementations with substantial people impact in large enterprises.
  • Strong hands-on change management skills.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end processes in large organizations and the impact of new technology capabilities or functionality on business processes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Able to establish effective rapport, collaborate and influence across all functions and all levels of the organization. Able to influence without direct authority.
  • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity. Brings structure and definition to unclear problems and solutions. Confidently moves work forward without having the total picture.
  • Exceptional communication skills. Creates well-structured, inspirational communications that achieve desired outcomes. Strong verbal communication skills. Respectfully and effectively sells recommendations and ideas. Comfortable presenting to senior audiences.
  • Strong process orientation. Constructs practical business processes that are efficient and deliver desired results. Applies a continuous improvement mindset. SOP development and knowledge.
  • Strong facilitation skills. Structures and facilitates working sessions in small and large groups with peers or senior leaders. Asks insightful questions and that drive meaningful discussion and action.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
