As the Cafeteria Supervisor you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of our corporate cafeteria program in St. Jacobs. Led by the Office Services Manager, this opportunity will best suit someone who has experience in kitchen operations, is passionate about food quality and safety standards and can develop engaging meal options.
 
Ready to make an impact? Here’s how:
  • Develop creative, appealing menus that rotate regularly and keep Team Members engaged.
  • Order products to implement menu; review costing of products and adjust pricing as necessary with the support of the Office Services Manager.
  • Order products from suppliers and ensure accuracy of shipment.
  • Provide day-to-day Supervision of Cafeteria Team Members on four operational shifts for tasks including food preparation, cooking, service, financial transactions, and overseeing site cleanliness.
  • Assign schedule and holiday assignments along with weekly TimeZone responsibilities.
  • Balance daily cash flow with register receipts.
  • Ensure a safe/clean kitchen and work environment that in compliance with pertinent legislation and Public Health requirements.
  • Schedule service technicians for repair and preventive maintenance for all kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure Team Members are trained on proper procedures and certified in food safety and other relevant regulations.
  • Optimize ingredients and minimize waste to support cost-effective menu creation.
We’re looking for:
  • Diploma in Food and Beverage, Restaurant Management or Culinary with 3-5 years of experience with 1-2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with ordering ingredient inventory based on menu requirements.
  • Working knowledge of industrial cooking appliances and cash flow. 
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
  • Passion for food with experience creating scalable menu options in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Health and Safety oriented mindset and knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • The ability to be onsite 5 days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate the needs of the role.

  • The expected starting salary range for this role is $46,700- 61,300; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
