Production Coordinator I,II,III (part-time per diem)

Description

As part of the Department of Theatre & Dance and reporting to the Chair, the Production Coordinator will work directly with the Chair, the Professor of Design and Technology, and key partners at the PAC to ensure smooth execution of the department’s production work.

The hours for the position include significant time outside of teaching and accompanying required to prepare for the rehearsals, performances, juries and other duties.

20-25 hours/week for 32 Weeks (16 per semester)
 
Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Scheduling & Running Production Meetings
  • Creating Production Calendars
  • Creating Technical Calendars
  • Coordinating across departments for space availability and inter-departmental projects
  • Coordinating with Department of Theatre & Dance faculty for technical needs in the PAC for non-mainstage production needs such as class finals, gamelan and dance concerts, and student organization performances.
  • Coordinating with PAC Staff for needs in Theater Support Spaces.
  • Overseeing operational needs of studio, performance and storage spaces not handled by PAC staff (e.g. O’Kane studios; Loyola and Smith storage spaces, etc)
  • Implementing Technology Upgrades
  • Coordinating the needs of guest designers’ work with the Department, including access, production schedules and materials.
  • Ensuring adequate support materials are available at department production rehearsals, such as tables, First Aid Kits, Stage Management Kits and other operational needs.
  • Coordinating Prop & Furniture needs for rehearsals and performances
  • Coaching Student Stage Managers & Run Crews
  • Coordinating Schedules for Production Run Crews
  • Creating and Maintaining Space Calendars for all Department Needs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Significant experience in theatrical production
  • Fluency with Google Suite
  • Flexibility to work professionally with faculty and staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of motivation
  • Ability to make an impact through work as a member of a team and diverse community
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance a flexible work schedule
