Legal Internship Summer 2026
Description
Hoar is recruiting qualified applicants for our Legal Internship position who will generally support the attorneys and staff within Hoar’s legal department for Summer of 2026. The legal department provides a wide variety of legal services to both Hoar Construction and Hoar Program Management. The Legal Intern will gain exposure to transactional work such as legal document review, negotiation, and dispute resolution through litigation and arbitration. In addition, the Legal Intern will review documents, attend meetings, conduct legal research, and assist in other various projects. The Summer 2026 term will be an especially valuable experience to someone interested in an in-house legal position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Motivated, hard-worker who can prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in legal writing and critical analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and electronic document preparation and editing (Microsoft office products)
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to creating workflows and processes in a business environment
- Effectively manage processes by tracking progress, organizing information, and coordinating with internal and external parties
- An interest in in-house, transactional work, and the construction industry
Requirements:
- Completed one year of law school
- Valid Driver's License
