We're seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, structure, and strategy of our enterprise data environment. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing scalable data architectures, designing data models, and ensuring that data is accessible, reliable, and positioned to support business growth.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who excels at translating complex business requirements into effective data solutions. You'll partner with business leaders and technical teams to establish data standards, evaluate emerging technologies, and create a roadmap for the future of our data ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business applications and analytics.
  • Develop strategies for data warehousing, data acquisition, data integration, archiving, and recovery.
  • Evaluate and recommend new data sources, platforms, and technologies to improve scalability and performance.
  • Define data structures, attributes, naming conventions, and governance standards across the organization.
  • Analyze data and statistical information to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Research and evaluate data sources, assessing reliability, usability, and integration capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand current and future data needs.
  • Design and develop code solutions to improve applications, reporting, and data processes.
  • Create detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Establish data architecture foundations that support application development and enterprise systems.
  • Lead data modeling initiatives and guide teams on best practices for organizing and interpreting data.
  • Research emerging technologies and develop migration strategies for legacy platforms and data structures.
  • Mentor team members and provide leadership on data architecture, design, and governance initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in information architecture, data architecture, data sourcing, distribution analysis, data modeling, and system design.
  • 10+ years of experience with conceptual and logical data modeling, including relational and dimensional modeling techniques.
  • 5+ years of hands-on data modeling experience.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and database technologies.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture, reporting architecture, and data management principles.
  • Experience designing scalable, high-performing data solutions.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into language that business stakeholders can understand.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional and matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and driving organizational change.
