Technical Analyst (Oracle EBS Manufacturing Modules)
Description
- Module Expertise: Provide functional and technical expertise in Oracle EBS Manufacturing modules (Bill of Materials, Work in Process, Material Requirements Planning, Advanced Supply Chain Planning, etc.).
- Module Implementation: Lead the implementation of new Oracle EBS modules, from requirements gathering to go-live, ensuring smooth deployment and user adoption. Oversee the end-to-end implementation lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and post-go-live support.
- Solution Design and Architecture: Ensure holistic solution design, making sure that cross-functional considerations are incorporated into functional and technical design specifications. Ensure that the Solution Design aligns with our Enterprise Architecture standards and technical application management standards.
- System Configuration: Analyze business needs, define detailed requirements, develop solutions, and recommend potential alternatives after considering business and technical considerations. Configure and customize Oracle EBS manufacturing modules based on business requirements.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle EBS manufacturing modules, including production support for manufacturing processes and supply chain operations. Interacting with network services, application administration, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem. Recommend systems modifications to reduce customer problems.
- Integration: Work on the integration of Oracle EBS Manufacturing modules with other systems (both Oracle and third-party). Collaborate with development teams to design, test, and implement interfaces.
- Testing & Validation: Develop and execute testing plans (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing) for new implementations, upgrades, and patches. Document test results and provide recommendations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including process flows, technical specifications, and end-user manuals. Develop and document functional specifications for new features and enhancements. Prepare & provide technical design documentation using Oracle Application functionalities.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve system performance and business processes within the Oracle EBS environment. Suggest best practices and assist in process reengineering efforts.
- Upgrade & Patch Management: Participate in Oracle EBS upgrades, patches, and other system changes. Ensure smooth transitions with minimal downtime and disruption to manufacturing processes.
- 4-year degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in discrete manufacturing using Oracle EBS.
- 12+ years of SDLC experience in Oracle EBS; with at least 4 years in architecture or solution design using Oracle E-business Application technology.
- Hands-on and in-depth experience in Oracle EBS R12 technology stack that includes – AOL, Sys admin (from developer standpoint), Concurrent Processing, Workflow 2.6, Oracle forms 10g, Oracle reports 10g, XML Publisher 5.7 or higher.
- Experience in Oracle 11gr2 PLSQL, SQL Plus, Performance optimization techniques such as SQL Tuning, Interpreting trace files, TKPROF or other similar tools.
- Experience with multiple and diverse technology environments and software solutions such as Oracle AIMS methodology, EDI technology, Oracle Application Framework Technology, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and SQL, Barcode Scanning devices/technology.
- Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies and methods preferred.
