POSITION HIRING FOR: LEVEL 3 ADVANCED MATERIAL SUPPORT: WORKING TITLE, IF APPLICABLE

Position Summary: In this position, you will perform a variety of material handling functions to stage, load and remove materials no longer needed at the production station or to set up for future production primarily using a lift truck.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow a written or verbal production schedule to evaluate and then meet departmental material and part level needs for production flow.
- Unloading of raw materials upon arrival to facility including placing in temporary storage or taking directly to the line. Reloading trucks to be returned to supplier.
- Operate a tugger and/or similar material handling equipment, including fork truck or lift truck.
- Follows pre-established routes to deliver/retrieve parts from the line side store locations using a high degree of safety according to safety rules and regulations.
- Leads in determining right—sized quantities for Supermarket while incorporating a visual reorder system.
- Order and coordinate delivery of internal and external parts and materials
- Update schedule boards and other communication tools
- Check/verify status of incomplete buckets or other issues
- Assist in end of shift hand offs and reports
- Completes Work In Process status reports
- Coordinates schedule to prevent downtime
- Order SP’s and expedites
- Manages and updates PCB’s to determine root cause reasons of production misses
- Prioritize daily schedule to achieve COT and prevent predictor misses
- Keeps Team Leader/Group Leader apprised of status of parts
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities related to parts flow, delivery frequency, presentation, storage and handling within and between the Supermarket and line-side stores.
- Redistributes incoming parts into right-sized containers for the line side stores.
- Performs periodic inventory audits. Reports all material shortages.
- Verifies all received materials to ensure correct shipment was received, signs for and inspects incoming materials.
- Check and maintain material handling maintenance logs, evaluate the safety of material handling equipment, and participate in required safety training to acquire and maintain material handling certification.
- Perform quality checks according to standard work.
- Maintain a work pace that supports production goals.
- Perform TPM procedures as required on specified equipment, maintain clean work area and follow 6S guidelines.
- Will work under minimal supervision and at times minimal direction.
- Position requires a high level of craftsmanship.
- Member may be required to train others in Level 3, Level 2, and/or Level 1 roles per the Member Training Program.
- Member will be expected to maintain flexibility and will occasionally perform other roles in Level 3, Level 2 and Level 1.
- Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
Work Environment/ Physical Conditions:
- Dust, fumes and noise are commonplace
- Seasonal fluctuations in temperatures and humidity are expected
- Stand and/or work for up to 10-hours per day
- Lift and carry up to 40lbs on a continuous basis

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Requires Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Email) as well as maneuvering through the internet/intranet sites
- Verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
- Ability to interact with many different departments and people in the facility.
- Demonstrate performance by meeting dead-lines, negotiate arrangements in a business setting, and the ability to work constructively with multiple departments to reach goals and agreement to terms.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute to standard work

- Ability to perform high volume repetitive type work
Experience Needed:
- HNI experience or prior process or flow experience is required
- Consistent work history and dependability
- Proven history of strong work performance
Education and/or Required Training:
- No prior education or training is required. However, must be able to add, subtract, multiply and/or divide decimals and fractions using a calculator.
