- Develop Talent
- Teach members critical thinking and problem solving skills to correct issues
- Create a talent pipeline for other positions in the department (1st shift, WZL’s, GL’s)
- Effectively select, train, and retain new hires
- Foster teamwork and collaboration between shifts through consistent leadership, alignment of expectations, and follow up
- Lead the group to meet key performance objectives
- Create a safety and quality led culture where members are looking out for themselves, others and our customers
- Use Tiered Meetings and other lean tools to effectively identify opportunities and involve members in the problem solving process
- Empower members to share ideas and concerns
- Utilize lean principals
- Cultivate a culture of root cause problem solving
- Participate on and lead RCI events
- Lead/coach 5S for our area
- Increase member participation in the Mi Idea program
- Engage with members to ensure work areas and culture align with organizational objectives.
- Lead a team focused on providing the best customer experience
- Proactively identify and address safety issues
- Deliver quality product and services
- Meet customer delivery expectations
- Collaborate with production and other DC’s
- Develop problem solving culture that is member driven
- Bachelors’ Degree, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Leadership
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership capacity; manufacturing preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate others, develop talent for future succession.
