What We Need:

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team. 

The primary responsibility of the Senior Enterprise Account Manager role is to champion the dealer perspective within HNI Workplace Furnishings. This involves acting as a key point of contact for escalation, identifying shared challenges, and facilitating enhancements to foster stronger partnerships. As a Senior level member, you will also drive member engagement and development.  

What You Will Do:

  • Manage a portfolio of dealers through establishing productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned dealer accounts and developing comprehensive understanding of dealers’ business portfolios. 
    • Senior Enterprise Account Manager manages portfolio in excess of $150M including at least one multi-region/national dealer and sets strategy for entire Enterprise Account Management function. 
  • Serve as a single point of contact for project and service escalations to build and maintain strong relationships with dealer partners. Use network of internal contacts to influence resolution for ad hoc escalations and to drive for broader process or organizational change, as appropriate. 
  • Monitor performance challenges and advocate for dealer perspective among HNI Workplace Furnishings functional areas. 
  • Lead regular strategic engagements with dealer leadership to develop mutual performance objectives and critical milestones, communicate strategic priorities, identify process improvement opportunities, and monitor performance. 
  • Facilitate connections to various HNI Workplace Furnishings teams and resources to:  
  • Ensure proper support, deploy current strategic HNI Workplace Furnishings and dealer objectives, and communicate strategic changes. 
    • Execute HNI Workplace Furnishings and dealer marketing strategies in compliance with HNI Workplace Furnishings brand guidelines.   
    • Assist with promoting loyalty initiatives (i.e., Edge) and dealer programs (Dealer Investment Fund, mockups, showroom, Everyday Advantage, other contracts available).  
    • Promote new and existing products.  
  • Evaluate and execute on training needs for dealers through various modes of training including, but not limited to:  
    • Onboarding new dealer members through regular structured training on product, processes and programs.   
    • Supporting new product launches and other training needs (existing product, sales, design, etc.) through promotion of training calendar and marketing/selling resources.  
    • Driving profitability improvement through education on available contracts and benefits of shifting product mix   
  • Collaborate with dealer and local sales team to execute market plans and facilitate existing customer account strategies including presentation content, corporate visits, mock-ups, proposals, pricing, etc.  
  • Ensure dealer members understand and have access to all appropriate HNI Workplace Furnishings digital platforms with the goal of improving member productivity and accuracy, establishing self-service capabilities, and improving the overall customer experience  
  • Ensure dealer profile is reflected accurately in digital platforms including assistance with account changes for dealer acquisitions and mergers, warehouse changes, e-mail address updates, and personnel changes.  
  • Monitor dealer performance and make recommendations on process improvement areas through adoption of best practices.  
  • Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership and review work of assigned members. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend merit increases, promotions, transfers, corrective actions and other personnel actions. Interview and recommend candidates for employment. Drive member engagement.   
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.   

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field required. 
  • At least 7 years' experience in dealer relations, customer service, consultative selling, manufacturing, project management is required; 10 preferred. 
  • Experience leading or formally mentoring other preferred.
