POSITION HIRING FOR: LEVEL 2 POWDER PAINTER

LOCATION: HWY 61

SHIFT: 2ND


JOB DETAILS

Position Summary: In this position, you will perform the hang-on and take-off of unpainted parts onto the paint line, as well as apply powder paint to product in an industrial paint process, when required. You will verify conformance of parts, utilizing quality tools and checks, and will exercise judgment in accepting or rejecting parts/units according to quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up the paint booth and paint equipment
  • Paint product on a rotating paint line
  • Perform quality checks according to standard work
  • Perform required TPM and 6S of assigned area
  • Read and follow schedules in order to paint product, while following standard work processes and adhering to all quality standards and safety rules.
  • Maintain a work pace that supports production goals.
  • Maintain and clean paint booths, paint guns, filters, washer system, and required tools to ensure optimal quality and first time yield.
  • Follow standard work for Powder Painter position; suggest and document improvements to standard work.
  • Member may be required to train others in Level 2 roles per the Member Training Program
  • Member will be expected to maintain flexibility and will occasionally perform other roles in Level 2.
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

Work Environment/ Physical Conditions:

  • Dust, fumes and noise are commonplace
  • Seasonal fluctuations in temperatures and humidity are expected
  • Stand and/or work for up to 10-hours per day
  • Lift and carry up to 40lbs on a continuous basis

  • Must be able to pass a color blindness test.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute to standard work
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently as needed
  • Ability to take direction from others
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, while maintaining a positive attitude and approach
  • Ability to perform high volume repetitive type work
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

Experience Needed:

  • Previous paint experience in an industrial or automotive application is preferred.
  • Consistent work history and dependability
  • Proven history of strong work performance

Education and/or Required Training:

    • No prior education or training is required.
