As a Freelance Social Manager / Strategist (content + publishing) at H+K, you will be tasked to deliver best in class content strategies and publishing programs for new and existing clients.  You will have a foundation of understanding in analytics and the skills to manage multiple campaigns across platforms. You will have the ability to deliver content strategies for clients based on your knowledge of digital platforms and how they work.

You will support with planning the ideation, aggregation and delivery of content to discover and grow sustainable audiences.  You must be able to explain technical issues and platform nuances with clarity to your peers and managers, and support client leads with putting together content strategies to best support client needs.  Experience using Photoshop would be beneficial.

  • The role requires a mix of the following skill set:
    • Channel (primary)
      • Develop content calendars for clients that adhere to the content and publishing strategy, following best practice guidelines
      • Demonstrate a solid understanding of paid media, in the context of social, search and native. Familiarity with the latest developments in formats and products to make relevant recommendations to clients. Support the client team by proactively flagging new and emerging technologies.
    • Content (secondary)
      • Collaborate and consult closely with third parties and our creative studio on content production, ensuring timelines are being followed and the approval and feedback process for clients run smoothly
      • Identify, build relationships and collaborate with key bloggers and influencers to achieve overall client objectives and goals
    • Creative (secondary)
      • Proactively and reactively develop creative direction for clients in partnership with our creative studio and third parties
      • Demonstrate sound understanding of the client’s brand guidelines and tone of voice and input into how this is played out visually
