THE OPPORTUNITY

Hill + Knowlton Strategies is looking for a manager with growth mindset to work on multiple global + regional brand names.

This is an exciting role with good career advancement opportunities in an established practice. The incumbent will be managing a team and imparting knowledge to junior colleagues. Critical elements of the role include day-to-day client management, strategic planning and advice to clients, and working with the team on project implementation, and delivering results.

 

THE ROLE

Consulting

  • Monitor and analyse online conversations to understand topics, volume and sentiment
  • Act as the point person in the team for monitoring, data gathering, analysis and data presentation and provide insights that add value to our clients business
  • Demonstrate a curiosity to collect large amounts of data and transform it into a more usable format and then advise client leads in a clear language about the implications from the analysis
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preparation of weekly/monthly reports for client teams and clients
  • Work on the creation of data-led stories and visualisations for content marketing projects
  • Manage and work on a variety of projects at the same time, often for a number of different clients and working to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of statistics and be comfortable with analytical techniques too

Commercial

  • Support the client teams and help to identify new opportunities, provide insight and direction in all new business opportunities
  • Play a pro-active role in terms of new business in your sector
  • Contribute in business development pitches and undertake research or intelligence gathering work

Account Management

  • Provide accurate budget estimates for projects and retainer accounts
  • Manage and track all client budgets to ensure appropriate servicing level
  • Proactively alert relevant director to emerging budget or client issues and problems
  • Manage, coach and train junior or new members in the project team
  • Mentor newcomers
  • Ensure that all outputs by team members meet internal standards, client requirements and deadlines
  • Day-to-day liaison with clients
  • Develop and build client relationships

Business Development

  • Provide business development leads
  • Identify and develop expansion of business with existing clients
  • Focal point for business development proposals and pitches



THE PERSON

  • University degree or college diploma in communications or related field
  • 5-6 years of full-time experience in Data and Analytics or related field
  • Training in Communication, Marketing, Advertising or related areas.
  • Experience in Marketing, Communication or Business Intelligence.
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Analytical profile
  • Knowledge of communication metrics is required.
  • Knowledge of social listening tools
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Relevant industry background or knowledge of key concepts for the sector specialism as their ability to relate to a client’s business is critical
  • A proven ability to manage teams and guide more junior team members; create communications plans and strategy and impart knowledge to more junior team members
  • Demonstrable evidence in managing multiple projects/clients simultaneously
  • Results-focused and willingness to go the extra mile for clients
  • Excellent team player who works effectively in a fast-paced environment
