Hill+Knowlton Strategies is seeking a confident and dynamic Public Relations Senior Account Manager to join our consumer team in Chicago. This person will be responsible for supporting public relations & communications efforts across an exciting portfolio of brands in the CPG space.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing client-facing support on key CPG/food product accounts
  • Creating and editing communications materials including talking points, press releases, white papers, op-eds and other content on behalf of clients
  • Manage media relations strategy and execution, maintaining and developing relationships with key media contacts 
  • Contributing fresh ideas for programs, events and media outreach that parallel our client objectives
  • Contributing creativity, passion and expertise to an entrepreneurial team environment where everyone’s voice is heard, highly valued and rewarded

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 6-7 years’ experience working in public relations; agency experience preferred
  • Experience producing results for a variety of clients across the CPG space
  • Skilled client counselor with the ability to ensure client satisfaction through world-class service and program results
  • Strong expertise in media strategy and execution with an established base of relevant media contacts
  • Digital & social media savvy with an understanding of how to reach a target audience and drive engagement
  • Ability to create compelling content for a variety of channels with knowledge of how to best distribute and optimize performance of that content; experience developing and managing influencer programs a big plus
  • Superb writing and editing skills across a variety of platforms with a keen eye for detail 
  • Skilled storyteller able to ideate strong client narratives that capture attention and communicate a clear brand message
  • Management experience with a passion for guiding, mentoring and coaching junior staff
