Hill+Knowlton Strategies is looking for a dynamic Senior Communications Specialist, U.S. Ford Division to work directly with Ford Land and our Ford Motor Company client in Dearborn, MI.


Here’s what you’d be doing:


  • Partner with the various Ford Land workstream leaders (Corporate Communications, Government Affairs and the Workplace Experience) to seek out and strategize on the content, communications and storytelling opportunities to engage multiple audiences.
  • Work with Corporate Communications to shine a light on Ford Land key initiatives and projects and identify opportunities for Ford Land to contribute positive stories to the overall story enterprise.
  • Support the Chairman and CEO of Ford Land with presentations, speeches, messaging for events and media statements.
  • Engage with Ford Land global teams to share global campus transformation stories including capturing and maintenance of Dearborn campus transformation photography and videography libraries.
  • Prepare statements, Q & As, news releases and fact sheets as necessary for Ford Land efforts
  • Organize community meetings and engage with residents to inform them of impactful transformation milestone activities
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.



Here’s what you’ll need to get here:


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field
  • At least 7 years of managing/leading communication development
  • Communication examples demonstrating use of innovative and engaging communication mediums
  • Experience working with and developing executive communications
  • Experience supporting internal communications within a large, preferably global, organization
  • Project management experience
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated self-starter, proactive and willing to take initiative
  • Able to work under deadline pressure and balance multiple priorities
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft office tools (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint), social media tools (e.g., LinkedIn)
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
