The Consumer Goods sector is a team of around 15 talented publishing and creative strategists, influencer and media managers, content creators and client service specialists. This fast paced and ambitious team delivers award winning work for both some of the world’s largest consumer brands and some of the most exciting market disrupters; devising and implementing major brand initiatives, both globally and locally, running busy press offices, creating toolkits and developing content and publishing strategies for clients.

We have a new opportunity for a strong and established Associate Director with a solid corporate communications and sustainability background, to work predominantly on one client, leading the company storytelling for a major FMCG company at both an EU and UK level. The ideal candidate will have solid experience at telling CSR and company related stories in a creative and engaging way, encompassing experience in sustainability and diversity, as well as experience in leading event activations at a global level.

+     Proven counsellor in the C-suite and at senior corporate affairs/marketing director levels

+     Creative and curious – always looking from new ideas, bringing the outside in and offering great creative ideas to bring stories to life

+     Progressive mind-set – interested in evolving communications and the role of PR within the marketing mix; brave enough to try new approaches and adopt new technologies and willing to take calculated risks to do better and more meaningful work

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clients:

+     Be a trusted adviser to C-suite executives, providing senior level strategic counsel and insight, guidance and creativity to meet client requirements

+     Lead client teams to expand revenue channels and grow existing client business into new areas

+     Champion the importance of client satisfaction and service within the team, leading by example and encouraging positive client relationship building behaviour and ensuring flawless execution of day-to-day client work

+     Exceptional project management skills and the ability to coordinate and oversee several projects concurrently across multiple functional company departments/regions

 

Financial:

+     Manage client budgets and take proactive steps to meet key financial targets, ensuring revenue growth and team profitability

New business:

+     Prepare strategic and operational business plans to deliver sustainable revenue and profit growth across the team, in close collaboration with the MD

+     Plan and drive organic growth on designated accounts and take responsibility for new business development, networking and marketing activities, as well as new business acquisition and conversion

 

People:

+     Continuously focus efforts on developing and enhancing the skills and capabilities of the team

+     Model the desired leadership behaviour for both the sector and agency, and foster a performance-led culture

+     Play an active role within the leadership team of the practice; working closely with the MD and wider leadership team on resource planning, financial forecasting, performance appraisals, line management and general team performance & wellbeing
