Senior Account Executive

H+K Strategies is searching for a highly motivated, talented Senior Account Executive with community engagement experience to support our growing U.S. Public Affairs practice. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and executing strategic community engagement programs that educate and enhance favorability about innovative and groundbreaking technologies coming to local markets
  • Exercising creativity in account strategy and planning
  • Providing clients with proactive and informed recommendations based on their expertise, and on-the-ground knowledge
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with client contacts
  • Proactively identifying new opportunities and partnerships within target communities, and bringing those ideas to life
  • Developing materials that highlight the benefits of our client’s initiatives and programs in the communities they serve
  • Generating fresh ideas for programs, events and community outreach that parallel client objectives
  • Working closely with H+K team members and key client contacts across multiple projects at the same time, ensuring high quality and precision on client deliverables
  • Contributing creativity, passion and expertise to an entrepreneurial team environment where everyone’s voice is heard, highly valued and rewarded

 What you’ll need to get here:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • California or Texas-based
  • 3+ years’ experience in community engagement or campaign organizing; agency experience preferred
  • Proven track record of success planning and executing community outreach and communications programs that meet client or campaign objectives
  • Strong understanding of the factors that drive successful community engagement programs and the ability to make recommendations/share insight with client contacts based on that expertise
  • Highly organized and detail and deadline oriented, with the ability to track multiple deliverables across a project
  • Enthusiasm for working as a leader within a team, managing and upskilling junior staff while modeling corporate culture values
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with client contacts
  • Superb writing and editing skills across a variety of platforms with a keen eye for detail and love of the written word
